I can’t believe it’s already October!
Fall is my absolute favorite time of year, especially spooky season ๐ป. On that note, this month’s book of the month will be in the Mystery/Suspense/Thriller genre. The book Don’t Look for Me by Wendy Walker really called out to me as a great pick for a spooky season read.
Last month’s book was a personal finance book, Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey. For this month’s book of the month I’m shifting from nonfiction/personal improvement to some fiction that will hopefully give me goosebumps. There’s really nothing better than grabbing a hot drink (coffee for this girl) and curling up on the couch with a snuggly blanket and a good book. Especially in the fall.
My October 2023 Book of the Month
One reviewer of Don’t Look for Me states that this book is a “fast-paced psychological drama”. The rest of the books description goes on to describe a story of a mother who has disappeared, and her daughter who is despirate to find her “before it’s too late.” Some late night storms, abandoned cars, and “small desolate towns” with interesting innkeepers sounds like all the right ingredients for a good October read.
Wendy Walker is a a best selling author both nationally and around the world. Walker is best known for her psychological suspense novels. A few of her other more popular novels include What Remains, Emma in the Night, and The Night Before.
Have you read any of Wendy Walker’s books before? If so, do you recommend them? I’m always on the lookout for books recommended by fellow bibliophiles.
