If I’m being honest, I struggled little getting through last months book called Into the Water by Paula Hawkins. I’m a busy person, between work and a lot of traveling that I’ve been doing lately and have found it hard to get into this book in my down time. I think the constant changes in POV made it hard for me to pick up where I left off the last time I was reading. Since there would be 3-6 day gaps at times between when I’d be Abel to pick iy back up and read some more.
My October 2022 Book of the Month
The description of this book hit rather close to home, as it appears to be about a deadly pandemic that started in Asia. A “hemorrhagic fever to be more specific. However, the description also notes that the Middle East is a prominent setting. This “suspense/thriller” novel twists royalty, medical professionals, and a peek into the history of virology together into this novel.
I bought this book over the summer because the topic caught my attention. I have a bad habit of buying more books before I’ve read what I have, so I thought this one was fitting for my second book of the month. Simply because the title is October just like the month that it’s representing here. Lame, I know. I’ve got to get through my current books so I can….well…buy more. Duh!
Well lets, get started shall we?
Not reading the same book as me this month? Totally cool! Let me know what you are reading in the comments so I can add it to my reading list!
